Chelsea unwilling to lower £25m valuation for West Ham target Kurt Zouma

Chelsea are not open to the idea of lower their £25million valuation for West Ham target Kurt Zouma, according to Toby Cudworth.

The 90Min journalist has stated that the Hammers are keen but will not meet their London rivals’ valuation for the French defender.

This update comes after ExWHUemployee reported that the Hammers have resumed talks with the Blues for the 25-year-old.

Via his personal Twitter account, he wrote, “Lots of Kurt Zouma/#WHUFC/#CFC chat doing the rounds again in the last 24hrs.

“Understand that Chelsea’s asking price is £25m and they will not budge. West Ham still keen but won’t pay that much. Milenkovic pay/agent fee talks go on.”

Just get it done

All this Zouma information is probably West Ham briefing the media to ensure that Nikola Milenkovic’s agents come back on board and get that deal done.

This has been our stance on the Frenchman for the past two weeks and we’re not going to increase our offer for him all of a sudden.

However, should the Milenkovic talks hit a complete dead-end, then the Zouma deal could be back on, but as of now, there’s a huge doubt about that.

West Ham

Either way, we will be getting a quality centre-back that will help us address our woes in that department.

Craig Dawson and Issa Diop have been a decent pair, but they’re not at the level of a top-six Premier League club and to get there we need players of that calibre.

After a new centre-back is over the line, we should look to sign a striker as relying on an injury-prone Michail Antonio will kick us in the foot in the long run.
