Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United set to battle for West Ham star Rice
Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City are set to battle for West Ham star Declan Rice next summer, according to EuroSport.
They claim that the three European giants are all keen on recruiting the 22-year-old and could be prepared to fight each other and enter into a bidding war for Rice.
The report claims that Chelsea might have allowed the two Manchester clubs to jump ahead of them in the queue for Rice because of their interest in Jude Bellingham and signing Saul Niguez on loan.
Where will Rice end up?
The transfer window has only just ended, but it seems as if the rumours about Rice’s future are set to continue and could become a feature of the season, unfortunately.
The 22-year-old is fantastic and was described by Gareth Southgate as “outstanding” just this summer, so he is a player who is only going one way, and that is up [West Ham’s official website].
The three clubs mentioned in the report will be interested because if they sign Rice, they gain an advantage in the title race; we believe he is that good.
However, until any of them meet the Hammers’ asking price, then he will remain at the London Stadium.
It does seem as if the England international will leave sooner rather than later, but the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City will have to pay up if they want Rice that badly.
