Carlton Cole drools over West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen

Carlton Cole has showered heaps of praise on West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen, saying he is a “top, top player”.

The former Hammers striker has said that he has seen the growth of Bowen, right from his Hull City days, and feels he is now an integral part of the club.

Cole is also amazed by the ‘leaps and bounds’ progress Bowen has under David Moyes.

“He is a top, top player. I’ve seen his development from when he was at Hull City coming to West Ham,” said Cole on talkSport.

“Not really setting the world of light straightaway then could see his work in progress. Now he’s starting to believe in himself, believing in the way the style of play that David Moyes wants him to play.

“He is an integral part of the team now. When I look at him, I think well you’ve come leaps and bounds.”

What a player!

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a phenomenal campaign for the Hammers so far, and it will be a huge disappointment if he doesn’t get a call-up to the national team.

Cole is spot on here. Bowen was a hero at Hull City where he was the main focal point of the club. He was way too good for the Championship.

After moving to the Premier League, he needed to make the transition, but once he settled down, it has been an upward trajectory in his career.

This season, Bowen has managed 13 goals and nine assists in all competitions. And there’s more to come from him.

He returned to action last weekend against Everton after a long injury lay-off and found the net on his comeback.

Bowen is expected to start on Thursday when West Ham will face Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final clash at home.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have scouted a £20m-rated “Dangerous” British striker and want to seal a permanent move this summer.
