Caoimhin Kelleher ‘to quit Liverpool’ as West Ham ready new transfer
West Ham were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday, as the Reds edged closer to the Premier League title.
The Hammers thought they had done enough to salvage a draw in Merseyside when they equalised through Andy Robertson’s own goal.
However, Virgil van Dijk scored a late winner for the Reds, as Graham Potter’s men endured their fifth consecutive Premier League game without a win.
Meanwhile, Potter’s men are keen on making a summer swoop for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, who was left on the bench on Sunday.

Kelleher is keen to quit Liverpool amid West Ham interest
Kelleher has managed four clean sheets in 10 Premier League outings this season, while he remains Alisson Becker’s understudy.
The Sun have reported that Liverpool are set to demand £20m for the Ireland international, and the goalkeeper is keen to leave Anfield in search of regular game time elsewhere.

Kelleher could be a top signing for West Ham
Throughout his time at Anfield, Kelleher has largely served as Alisson’s understudy and has consequently made just 67 appearances since making his senior debut back in 2018.
Caoimhin Kelleher stats | 2024/25 Premier League |
Appearances | 10 |
Saves | 27 |
Clean sheets | 4 |
Goals conceded | 12 |
However, the 26-year-old has proven his worth by keeping four clean sheets in the Premier League this season, successfully stepping up to the plate while Alisson was injured.
His performance between the sticks helped the Reds beat Everton in the Merseyside Derby on 2 April, while he has also been trusted by the Reds in cup competitions over the years.
The Irishman successfully kept a clean sheet as Liverpool beat Chelsea 1-0 in last season’s Carabao Cup final at Wembley, showcasing his ability to perform on the big stage.
Meanwhile, West Ham’s Alphonse Areola has maintained just three clean sheets in 21 Premier League appearances this season, while veteran Lukasz Fabianski has kept two clean sheets.
Kelleher would be an upgrade on both of the goalkeepers who are currently at Potter’s disposal.
