Caoimhin Kelleher laughs at what West Ham United fan shouted at him in Liverpool clash
Caoimhin Kelleher laughed at a comment from a West Ham United fan shortly before the end of Liverpool’s dominant win, according to The Sun.
On page 49 of the edition on Friday [27 September], Andrew Dillon noted that Kelleher was amused when hearing an away supporter while taking a sip from his water bottle with Liverpool closing in on a 5-1 Carabao Cup victory.
“Why are you thirsty, you ain’t done [expletive]” was apparently the snarl from the Hammers fan, the travelling group of which had to make some light of a difficult night as Julen Lopetegui suffered defeat once more.
The 10-man away side mustered just three shots on target all night as they bowed out from the competition.
West Ham must improve at Brentford
While there were changes made by Lopetegui and the Irons were underdogs, shipping five is always going to be uninspiring.
It does little to lift the mood at a club where things seem slow to get off the ground following a huge summer of change.
The squad overhaul at the London Stadium is going to take some time to take positive effect, but so far Lopetegui has got little tune out of his side.

Some have even shown their displeasure with his appointment as head coach already, including former striker Tony Cottee who admitted he was not keen in the first place and called Lopetegui a “sidewards move” from David Moyes [talkSPORT, 26 September].
Brentford play host next up in an all-capital clash, and defeat to a side missing key elements of their attack will be far from a good look.
