Sky Sports reporter shares ‘surprised’ Mohammed Kudus verdict ahead of Brentford v West Ham United
Sky Sports reporter James Green would be “surprised” if Mohammed Kudus does not now become a regular starter for David Moyes at West Ham.
Kudus joined the Hammers from Ajax in a deal worth at least £38million in August [BBC Sport] but has started just one Premier League game so far.
However, the Ghana international started West Ham’s midweek EFL Cup win against Arsenal and found the net with a sublime goal.

Green shared what he has heard about Kudus from behind the scenes as he gave a team news update on Sky Sports News [3 November, 12:41] ahead of United’s trip to Brentford this weekend.
“West Ham fans have had to be patient to see him start games, but we’ll start to see that more and more,” he said. “I’d be surprised if he doesn’t become a permanent fixture in that West Ham side.
“I remember being here at the training ground when he signed. I spoke to a few members of staff behind the scenes and they were raving about him after they’d seen his first training session.
“They know his quality and know they’re onto something good.”
Making an impact
West Ham fans knew they had a gem on their hands in Kudus, but the versatile forward has so far mainly had to showcase his talents in cup competitions.
The 23-year-old has three goals in five Europa League and EFL Cup starts, while he also got off the mark in the Premier League with a goal in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle United last month.

West Ham may have lost on Kudus’ only league start to date – coming against Everton last week – but Moyes must now give the Ghanaian a run of games in the starting line-up.
That seems a no-brainer the basis of the impressive 3-1 win over Arsenal on Wednesday [1 November], in which he started on the right and Jarrod Bowen as the number nine.
Lucas Paqueta’s suspension for the trip to Brentford on Saturday [4 November] may force David Moyes to use Kudus as a number 10, but either way it seems certain he will start, and will no doubt make an impact.
In other west Ham news, Declan Rice has sent a message to United fans after being booed on his return to London Stadium as an Arsenal plaer.
