Bowen outstanding, Zouma poor – West Ham player ratings v Watford
West Ham have managed a 1-0 win against Watford in the Premier League clash on Tuesday night at the London Stadium.
After a cagey first half, where the Hammers failed to create enough clear-cut chances, it ended 0-0.
The away fans jeered Kurt Zouma while the French defender didn’t receive support from the home fans either following his controversial selection.

Here, West Ham Zone rates the players out of 10 for their performances:
Lukasz Fabianski – 7
He wasn’t kept busy and was mostly left with making routine saves. Watford didn’t create enough clear-cut chances which made his task easy.
Vladimir Coufal – 6
He was solid at the back and made some good clearances. In terms of going forward and joining the attack, he offered very little.
Craig Dawson – 6
The veteran defender was overall solid but was beaten by pace on one or two occasions by Josh King.
Kurt Zouma – 4
His selection sparked controversy. Obviously, a better defender than Issa Diop and adds more to the game, but on this occasion, he couldn’t influence much.
Aaron Cresswell – 5
He was largely ineffective, especially going forward. His crosses are usually good, but not today. Most of the time it hit the first defender while the crosses were not accurate as well.
Declan Rice – 6
The saviour of the FA Cup tie, Rice has done what he does best. However, such is his level that more is expected of him every time. Those driving runs from midfield were missing.

Tomas Soucek – 6
He had the best chance in the first half, but couldn’t direct his header. In the second half, he had one or two half-chances as well. Overall, he was tidy and attractive to watch.
Pablo Fornals – 4
Very poor. He couldn’t make any influence in the game apart from spraying out square and back passes.
Jarrod Bowen – 9
Man of the match. Energetic. Made some good tackles, and produced some very good crosses. He got the all-important goal via a deflection and also hit the post. What a form he is enjoying at the moment!
Said Benrahma – 6
The Algerian came close to scoring in the first half but his effort was saved by Ben Foster. In the second half, he made an effort on target as well, but Moyes took him off, with his work rate not up to the mark.
Michail Antonio – 5
He was very poor. There was very little movement. Little creativity. The most frustrating thing about him is that whenever he got the ball in the channels he couldn’t make the best use if it.
Substitutes:
Manuel Lanzini – 7
Superb. Made a big impact and provided the pass for Bowen’s goal.
In other West Ham news, Karren Brady has been in talks with an ex-ally over a major signing at the club.
