BBC pundit suggests West Ham could lose Declan Rice in summer
Jobi McAnuff has suggested that West Ham could lose Declan Rice in the summer transfer window if they don’t finish in the top four.
West Ham picked up a crucial 2-2 draw against Leicester City in the Premier League clash on Sunday [13 February], but it felt like a wasted opportunity to secure a victory.
The former Hammers player said on BBC Radio Football Daily that there will be loads of clubs looking to sign Rice in the summer.

McAnuff said: “If they don’t make it to the top four, he is gone.
“He has proved what a top player he is. He would go into any team in the Premier League. He is an outstanding player. He has matured way beyond his years.
“He will have a cue of clubs to chose from in the summer, unfortunately for West Ham fans.”
Let’s see
It’s too early to make such comments.
First of all, West Ham are not even thinking of selling him. They are aiming to finish in the top four this season, and Rice is expected to play a key part.
There are still a lot of games left to be played, and while West Ham are struggling a bit, they still have time to get in there.

Secondly, his asking price. Moyes has made it clear time and again that it would take a club-record fee to prise him away from London Stadium.
Rice is happy at the club and he is committed as well. In case, he moves on, the London outfit will make sure they get a huge sum for him, which they can reinvest into the squad.
At the moment, the Hammers do not need to worry about that. The club probably do expect bids for Rice in the summer, but they are certainly not panicking.
