‘Awful’ – These West Ham fans destroy one player v Liverpool

There’s no doubt that West Ham United playmaker Manuel Lanzini has been one of the team’s most disappointing players this season.

The Argentine international is arguably one of the most naturally talented players at the London Stadium.

However, he has roundly failed to deliver on that ability this campaign, something which continued in the Hammers’ 2-0 defeat to league leaders Liverpool on Wednesday night.

The best chances of the game for the hosts fell to Lanzini, but he couldn’t take them. Indeed, he had a golden opportunity to tie the game up, but squandered the chance.

When he was taken off in the 68th minute his substitution was greeted by cheers from the home supporters.

That sums up the terrible season he’s been having, and demonstrates just how far he has fallen in east London.

The fans clearly didn’t appreciate what he offered up on Wednesday evening, with one of them labelling his performance ‘awful’.
