Arsenal injury update shared ahead of Premier League clash v West Ham United

Arsenal are set to be without three first-team players for their Premier League clash against West Ham, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.

Mikel Arteta’s side are coming off of an enthralling 2-2 draw against Liverpool and are looking to maintain their grip on top spot with a win at the London Stadium.

The Gunners are currently without Takehiro Tomiyasu, who has been “ruled out” for the remainder of the 2022/23 season. Dinnery has also suggested that Mohamed Elneny will miss the game against the Hammers with a knee injury (Premier injuries).

Eddie Nketiah is also out and is not expected to return until the 21 April. Another concern is William Saliba after the Frenchman missed the draw at Anfield and Dinnery rates the 22-year-old’s chances of playing at 50 per cent.

High stakes

This is a high-stakes encounter for both teams. Arsenal know that Manchester City are now hot on their tail and will desperately need a win at the London Stadium to keep Pep Guardiola’s team at arm’s length. The Gunners have shown over the course of the season that they’re one of the strongest teams and it promises to be an extremely tough test for David Moyes’ side.

Back-to-back wins have proven elusive for West Ham. It feels as if it’s often one step forward and two steps back and until a consistent run of form emerges, the Hammers will be engulfed in a relegation dogfight. With Everton, Leeds, Leicester and Southampton all losing, Saturday was a good day.

West Ham

Despite the positive results for Moyes’ men, his side still only sit three points above the bottom three and will need at least three more victories to solidify their Premier League status for the 2023/24 campaign.
