Arnaut Danjuma requests Villarreal to accept offers as West Ham United circle

Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma has asked the club to accept a suitable offer for him, amid interest from West Ham, according to a report from El Periodico Mediterraneo.

The newspaper reported on 28 June (page 35) that the Yellow Submarines are already aware of the interest from the Hammers in their player, via his agent.

The Hammers face strong competition from Tottenham Hotspur. Danjuma has been a key player for Unai Emery, but he wants to return to the Premier League.

Villarreal are expected to demand around £30m for the winger, including bonuses.

Big window

This is going to be a massive window for the Hammers.

They have already signed Nayef Aguerd on a big-money deal, and have landed Alphonse Areola as well.

The attention now shifts on to bolstering the attacking midfield region, and Danjuma is emerging out as one of the targets.

It seems like the Hammers have made contact with the player’s agent. The former Bournemouth winger looks interested to return to the Premier League, but he won’t be available for cheap.

Thus, if the Hammers can land him, it would be yet another blockbuster deal.

West Ham

The La Liga club are not in any hurry to sell the player, and they have the finances to keep hold of him even if no concrete offer arrives.

West Ham have been linked with a host of attacking midfielders, and it remains to be seen whether they make a serious approach to land Danjuma.

Having made an initial approach, there could be movements in the coming weeks.
