Armstrong Oko-Flex heads to Sunderland as West Ham United exit decision made
Armstrong Oko-Flex is on trial at Championship club Sunderland following his release from West Ham, according to ExWHUemployee.
The 21-year-old will leave the Hammers on 30 June upon the expiry of his contract, as confirmed by the official West Ham website (16 June).
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international joined the East London outfit from Scottish Premiership side Celtic in 2021.

“It appears that former player Armstrong Oko-Flex is currently on trial at Championship side Sunderland,” Ex wrote on Patreon.
“The winger was released from West Ham in the summer following a loan spell with Swansea City. He will join former Hammers Aji Alese and Pierre Ekwah if his trial is successful.”

Bright future away from West Ham
Sunderland clearly have a liking for players associated with West Ham, with the Black Cats offering the former Hammers youngsters a place to be appreciated after their time in East London.
Oko-Flex is the latest in the line, with the youngster leaving the London Stadium this summer after spending two years at the club.
The 21-year-old has just one senior Hammers appearance to his name, but it will be a moment he will never forget, handed minutes by manager David Moyes in the Europa Conference League.
The competition allowed the Hammers to release some stress from their Premier League struggles, allowing Moyes to give opportunities to young players like Oko-Flex.
But the attacker perhaps would have liked more opportunities with the first team as many of his fellow youngsters shined in the limelight.
He now has a chance to shine elsewhere, with Sunderland potentially snapping up his services on an exciting free transfer.
