Andy Goldstein blasts ‘Sad’ Tottenham fan over West Ham claim
Andy Goldstein has absolutely destroyed a Tottenham fan on talkSPORT after he went on a weird rant about wanting West Ham to miss out on the top-four.
The Spurs fan, known as GJ, called in to say that he was delighted with West Ham’s defeat to Everton and Chelsea beating Manchester City – even though it weakened his club’s bid to qualify for the Champions League.
TalkSPORT host Goldstein hit out at the Tottenham fan, as showing in a clip on the radio station’s Twitter account, saying: “I think that’s incredibly sad that a Spurs fan, who also had a chance of getting top-four and now you won’t be getting it, is phoning up to take the mickey out of a West Ham fan. That’s really quite sad, isn’t it?
GJ replied by saying: “They’ve been doing that to us for years.”
Goldstein then added: “You’ve just lost the League Cup final, you got rid of your manager who was brought in to win silverware and get top-four…”
GJ butted in to heap criticism on the Hammers and claim that all he wanted was for them and Arsenal to struggle.
“I don’t care,” he said. “Our season is done. Forget us, we’re irrelevant.
“The important results for me this past week were Arsenal going out of the Europa League and West Ham bottling it hard.
“They’ve lost three of their last four games. They’re doing an absolute Spursy.
“If Spurs did that, you guys wouldn’t stop going on about it, let’s be straight. But you haven’t mentioned it yet because West Ham are a small, pointless club.”
Goldstein then replied and absolutely dismantled any argument GJ had.
“They’re above you in the league,” said Goldstein before the clip abruptly ended.
Amazing
Tottenham and their fans are in an absolute meltdown.
The North London club, which hasn’t one silverware since god knows when, somehow got themselves included in the European Super League and are sitting, as it stands, seventh in the Premier League.
They’ve been below us almost the entire season and while we might be seeing our bid to qualify for the Champions League fall apart, at least we’ve been seriously in the hunt for it rather than mid-table Spurs.
That club is a joke and we’re delighted to see Goldstein absolutely tear apart that Spurs fan for what we can only describe as a bizarre, ill-thought rant.
He – and other Tottenham fans – should probably think twice before enjoying any defeats we suffer because when they have players like Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, they’re an absolute joke to be where they are right now.
