Alan Shearer expects further Kudus punishment at West Ham after what Gary Lineker told him
Alan Shearer believes West Ham United ace Mohammed Kudus might “get done” by the FA after his misconduct in the Hammers’ 4-1 loss against Tottenham.
The Premier League sides faced one another at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday (19 October) and one of the main talking points was Kudus’ punch-up with some of Spurs’ players.
Speaking on The Rest is Football Podcast (21 October), Shearer and Lineker shared their verdicts on the situation.
“[Kudus] could have probably got maybe three red cards from that incident – he punched two people in the face and had a good kick at the guy on the ground,” Lineker said.
Shearer then added: “What was interesting, though, the referee gave him and Micky van de Ven a yellow card each and then was told by VAR that I think you need to go and have a look at this.
“He booted him twice, he shoved him in the face and then shoved Pape Sarr in the face as well which you’re right, he could have got three or four red cards in ten seconds, he may even get done by the FA.”
Mohammed Kudus needs to keep his head in the game for West Ham United
Kudus hasn’t had the best of times over the last month or so. Ghana have more or less been knocked out of AFCON qualifying after their recent games against Sudan and the attacker has even had an alleged bust-up with Julen Lopetegui at the 45-minute mark of their draw against Brentford on 28 September.
His recent antics against Tottenham have only added fuel to his poor performances this term and have made him even more of a scapegoat.
It feels like no matter what West Ham try to do, they always seem to take one step forward and two steps back and find themselves back at square one.

Jarrod Bowen has once again starred for the Hammers but Kudus’ performances have left a lot to be desired, with the attacker netting just two goals this term.
To make matters worse, Shearer isn’t alone in thinking that the FA will sanction the attacker or his club further as ex-FIFA and Premier League official Mark Halsey also believes they’ll do this which, in reality, would be the worst possible outcome for West Ham.
In other West Ham news, Chris Sutton has shared his verdict on whether West Ham will be relegated this season.
