Alan Brazil baffled by Agbonlahor’s West Ham claim v Arsenal – ‘Can’t see it’
Alan Brazil was left baffled live on talkSPORT after being taken aback by Gabby Agbonlahor’s prediction ahead of West Ham United’s clash at Arsenal.
The Hammers travel to Emirates Stadium on Saturday (22 February) as Graham Potter looks to get another win at his new side under his belt.
Although the appointment of Potter certainly boosted morale at The London Stadium, the optimism of the appointment is yet to be reflected in results.

Gabby Agbonlahor backing West Ham for surprise win
In five Premier League games as West Ham boss, Potter has won just one of those ties, drawing one and losing the other three.
Therefore, while there is certainly a feeling that he is a better option than his predecessor, he is also in need of putting some points on the board.
That being said, a trip to second-place Arsenal is not the easiest way to start turning things around.
While there were some concerns that the North London outfit would be hit on the pitch with all their recognised strikers out injured, a 2-0 win against Leicester City went some way to assuaging those concerns
Nevertheless, speaking live on talkSPORT (20 February), Agbonlahor admitted he could see the Irons winning on Saturday as he said: “Don’t be surprised if Arsenal lost to West Ham at the weekend.”
Brazil was left baffled by these claims as he replied: “Oh nah, I can’t see it.”
However, Agbonlahor went on to defend his argument as he said: “I just think West Ham are in poor form, they need a win desperately, you never know in football. It’s an Arsenal thing to go and do.”

Graham Potter needs a West Ham result
Given how recently he joined the club, you can’t imagine there’s any pressure with the danger of losing his job for Potter but he does need another three points on the board to offer his side a lift that they may then be able to build off.
That being said, it has not been an easy job to come into at West Ham and therefore, it was always going to take some time to get going. Especially given the 49-year-old is more of a manager with a project for the future.
The winter transfer window did not really go to plan either with Julen Lopeteguinhaving been well-backed in the summer window, leaving little for Potter in terms of breathing space.
There is no doubt that going and getting all three points at the Emirates is a massive task but as Agbonlahor says, it could be one of those situations where the want from the Hammers guides them through.
Even a point against Arsenal would be a good result and hopefully give the Irons a bit of momentum to take forward now to try and build up a string of wins for West Ham.
