Adrian sends West Ham star Instagram message after deadline day move

West Ham United winger Felipe Anderson sealed a loan exit to Porto on Tuesday after a frustrating start to the season.

The Brazilian reiterated his desire to return to the London Stadium after sealing the season-long move to Portugal.

The Irons and David Moyes sanctioned his exit after Anderson has failed to live up to the £36million price tag spent in 2018.

Anderson has posted a photo on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday evening, claiming he was “extremely motivated” to succeed.

His former teammate and Hammers hero, Adrian, responded to the post, wishing the South American the best of luck with his move.

“Come on Felipe,” he wrote. “Good luck.”

It was a sad day when Adrian left east London to move up to Premier League champions Liverpool, but he still holds the club close to his heart.

The Spaniard often appears on social media with his close friendships remaining intact from his many years in the capital.

This is a critical time in Anderson’s career.

The winger has been let out on loan with no obligation-to-buy, meaning they do believe he could have a future at the club if he proves himself elsewhere.

Anderson’s wages have now been freed up, and it will allow Moyes and the Irons to strengthen elsewhere in their squad, mainly in defence.

The atmosphere is great at the London Stadium after two massive wins, and there are waves of positivity everywhere we look – even just a little message from Adrian draws a smile.
