Adrian Durham destroys West Ham duo after public reactions to Diangana sale
TalkSPORT host Adrian Durham has slammed West Ham United duo Jack Wilshere and Mark Noble for their reaction to the sale of Grady Diangana.
The young winger rejoined West Brom on Friday, with the Baggies paying out up to £18million for their old loanee.
Noble claimed he was angry at the decision, and Wilshere went as far to say that he will now join a club that will respect him – massive claims to make.
Durham tore apart both players, claiming that neither are experts and singled out Wilshere especially in his scathing examination.
“Mark Noble, though, was totally wrong to do what he did,” he said on talkSPORT Drive.
“With Diangana, we have no idea if £18million is a fantastic deal or not. We don’t know if he’s a Premier League player, so for people to come out and say, ‘he’s a great kid’, he may well be a great kid, but Mark Noble doesn’t know he’s going to be a Premier League player or not.
“Since when was Mark Noble the big expert, Jack Wilshere’s weighed in as well. West Ham are paying you a fortune to sit around and have no impact in the first-team, and you think you can have a say on who comes in and who goes out of the club, Jack, really?”
Obviously, Diangana is a massive talent, but Durham is right – he isn’t guaranteed to succeed at West Brom after sealing his switch.
The Premier League will be a relatively new experience for the 22-year-old, who has only made 17 appearances in the top-flight – managing only one assist.
If West Ham use the money to strengthen their defence and improve all-round and West Brom are relegated next season, would this then be forgotten about?
Obviously, it’s not a popular decision around the club but everyone must wait to see what happens after before jumping to a conclusion.
