Fenerbahce approach West Ham for £70k/wk ace, move classed as doomed – report

West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini could leave the London Stadium this summer.

Not long after signing a new contract in east London, the Argentine international is one name who could be shown the exit door.

David Moyes has been told he must sell players in order to boost his own transfer budget, with Jordan Hugill already joining Norwich.

Where could Lanzini end up?

TeamTALK have reported on Sunday that Turkish giants Fenerbahce have made an approach to sign the 27-year-old.

It is suggested on their website though that the move is doomed before it begins, with the Turkish side only interested in a loan offer.

Lanzini himself isn’t said to be keen on the move either, meaning that the Argentine could find himself stuck at the London Stadium once the Premier League begins in two weeks time.

West Ham

The Hammers completed yet another friendly on Saturday, with Moyes picking an experienced squad in the 2-1 win against Brentford.

Lanzini came on at half-time in one of seven changes, and that could be a sign that definitely still features in Moyes’ plans if he sticks around.

The Argentine is a high-earner at the London Stadium, picking up £70,000-a-week according to Spotrac.

Those weekly wages could be used to bring in a couple more players and that’s what will be on the mind of Moyes once a serious offer comes in to play – this is certainly one to watch.
