West Ham United v Manchester United – BBC pundit destroys Guido Rodriguez

West Ham midfielder Guido Rodriguez was slammed by Matthew Upson after what he did in the first half v Manchester United.

The Hammers played host to the Red Devils at the London Stadium on 27 October and the game started in nearly the worst possible way.

Rodriguez gave the ball away in his own half which led to Alejandro Garnacho being clean through on goal but he failed to score as the ball hit the woodwork.

Speaking about this on the Premier League World Feed on 27 October at 2:03pm, Upson, a BBC pundit, said: “They would want an early start. It’s been almost disastrous how they’ve started. Just look at that pass. Should’ve been 1-0 (to Man United).”

West Ham have struggled to get a foothold v Manchester United

The Hammers got away with that early on but it’s not like it was an eye opener as they failed to pull up their socks.

Manchester United kept attacking and had it not been for the lack of clinicality, they could’ve scored two in the opening 15 minutes.

Julen Lopetegui would not have wanted such a slow start and he failed to galvanise his players and watched his side getting outplayed.

For someone whose job is on the line, this clearly is not what the decision makers at the London Stadium would’ve wanted to see.

It was a leggy first half in which the team lacked cohesion and a proper game plan and it was clear for everyone to see.

Hopefully, things change at the break and the Hammers show some more assertiveness as this is not helping.

In other West Ham news, a potential Julen Lopetegui replacement is now ready to join and David Sullivan has a huge decision to make.
