Tony Cottee has predicted West Ham to secure a 2-1 victory against Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Hammers take on the Seagulls at the London Stadium on 21 December and Cottee fancies Jarrod Bowen to find the back of the net.

Julen Lopetegui's side have not started the season well and find themselves in 14th place going into the game.

Cottee wrote on X: "Some tough games coming up, so we need to win today.2-1 Hammers with Bowen to score."

West Ham need to pick up three points against Brighton

Lopetegui is under pressure and he knows that another poor performance could see the owners making a decision to sack him.

While there have been some individual performances that have improved, the team is still not playing as a unit.

As a manager, that's his primary job and if he's unable to do that, it may make sense for the club to part ways with him.

Currently, the fans are not in favour of him continuing so the mood could turn tense at the London Stadium in a few hours.

One would argue that it's justified given what the supporters have had to endure all season, given David Moyes' recent successes.

Hopefully, the Brighton game can kickstart a good winning run for the Hammers as they climb up the table.
