West Ham United slammed in ‘low on quality’ verdict ahead of clash v Nottingham Forest

West Ham United versus Nottingham Forest will be “low on quality,” according to Premier League journalist Alex Keble.

The Hammers travel to the City Ground on Saturday (17 February) sitting eighth in the table, with the hosts in 16th place.

They visit Nottingham on the back of a 6-0 defeat to Arsenal, while Forest lost 3-2 to Newcastle United last time out.

“This is unlikely to be the most entertaining match of the weekend,” Keble wrote for the official Premier League website. “It will be nervy, scrappy, low on quality – and of monumental significance to both sides.”

West Ham need a win

The Hammers will be low on confidence ahead of the meeting at the City Ground, with manager David Moyes desperate to get back to winning ways.

The man in the dugout is under plenty of pressure to start picking up points once more, with the East London club on a miserable run having previously enjoyed a fantastic spell.

A 6-0 humiliation by London rivals Arsenal at the London Stadium has piled the pressure on further, with many supporters keen on a change in personnel in the dugout.

Fortunately for the Hammers, Forest are not getting on much better, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side recently getting sucked into a Premier League relegation battle.

David Moyes has largely has a successful second spell in charge of West Ham United.

It could be a tense affair in Nottingham on Saturday, with neither club really able to afford a slip-up, albeit for very different reasons. If three points are taken back to East London, Moyes really won’t care how they do it, as long as they do.
