Peter Drury reminisces on West Ham United maestro’s assist against Anderlecht
BT Sport commentator Peter Drury reminisced over West Ham United maestro Lucas Paqueta’s brilliance during the away fixture played in Belgium against Anderlecht.
West Ham took the early lead against Anderlecht in their second fixture against the Belgian outfit, with a perfectly curled effort from Saïd Benrahma.
After the goal Lucas Paqueta took down the ball beautifully on another attack for the Hammers and Drury reminisced over the midfielder’s assist in West Ham’s first game against Anderlecht.

Speaking during live commentary of the game on BT Sport 2 (20.18), Drury lavished praise on Paqueta remembering the Brazil international’s sublime assist last Thursday in Brussels.
“The touch of the tie so far, the one that played in Scamacca a week ago,” said Drury.
“He’d just come on, it was featherlite and delicious.”

Settling in.
Paqueta is finally starting to settle into life in London and after some questionable performances early on in the season, he’s starting to flourish.
Questions were raised as to whether Paqueta was the man to mend and improve the Hammers engine room, it seems he just may be on recent performances.
Drury was right when he said his assist was “delicious” last week, it was impressive and highlighted just what he can bring to David Moyes’s team this campaign.
The fact this is only the beginning of Paqueta’s time at the club bodes well for what is to come, he could be one of the Premier League’s top midfielders if he continues playing the way he is.
Paqueta’s blossoming partnership with Gianluca Scamacca is another frightening prospect for West Ham United moving forward.
Although, unfortunately, it hasn’t been seen in the first half with the Italian dropping to the bench in the fixture.
