West Ham United fans blasted by Gareth Ainsworth live on Sky Sports as footage emerges
Gareth Ainsworth has slammed the West Ham fans in the 6-0 defeat against Arsenal at the London Stadium on Sunday, 11 February.
The score was 4-0 at half-time and Sky Sports shared footage of the fans storming out of the ground in large numbers.
Apart from this, Declan Rice was also booed before he eventually scored and opted not to celebrate against his former club.
He said on Sky Sports News, 2:51 pm, 11 Feb: “When the camera panned on some fans going through the tunnels in the stadium, and I said to them, Surely they’re not leaving. They’re going for the halftime pies. They’re absolutely leaving. And they’re not just leaving in their ones and twos. There’s hundreds of people leaving the stadium. They’ve had enough. Wow it’s going to be a tough day.”
West Ham let down by fans
The actions of the fans who walked out are deeply disappointing and ultimately detrimental to the club.
While it’s understandable to feel frustrated and disheartened by a heavy loss, abandoning the team in such a manner undermines the spirit of support and loyalty.
Such results, while unfortunate, are part and parcel of the game.
Every team faces highs and lows and enduring tough defeats together builds resilience and character.
Walking out on the team not only reflects poorly on the fans themselves but also sends a negative message to the players and coaches, eroding their morale and confidence.
Leaving the stadium prematurely serves no constructive purpose and only exacerbates the disappointment felt by all involved.
Even Paul Scholes is not pleased by how the fans handled things on the day.

Moving forward, it’s essential for fans to demonstrate unity and unwavering support, regardless of the outcome on the pitch.
In other West Ham news, David Moyes is now concerned over the temperament of a first-team regular and may decide to axe him after a recent transfer development.
