West Ham United confirmed XI v Crystal Palace: Lucas Paqueta starts, Danny Ings on bench

David Moyes has named his West Ham XI to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Selhurst Park on Saturday, 29 April.

Senior players Aaron Cresswell, Angelo Ogbonna and Danny Ings are on the bench with Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice making the midfield three.

In the absence of Gianluca Scamacca, Michail Antonio continues to lead the line for the Hammers.

All but safe?

The Hammers have 34 points on the board and perhaps another win would mean that they can breathe easy.

Not many at the London Stadium will be worried about relegation as all the sides below them have been extremely inconsistent.

However, it’s nice to get wins on the board, especially if they’re against London-based teams and the atmosphere for this one will be good.

West Ham

It’s a lunch-time kick-off with both teams all but safe from relegation so it won’t be heated from the off but we will not be surprised if tempers start to flare.

Selhurst Park won’t be an easy place to go given how they’ve improved under Roy Hodgson, but the Hammers will give it their best.

They do have a better side on paper, and hopefully, that will count for something in the next few hours.

It remains to be seen if Moyes goes for a gung ho approach and abandons his conservative approach – something like Hodgson has done at Palace.
