West Ham United ace Lukasz Fabianski hailed by talkSPORT pundit v Bournemouth

Andy Townsend has lauded West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski in the game against Bournemouth on Monday night.

The Hammers travelled to the Vitality Stadium and came away with a point with the final score 1-1 on 16 December.

Lucas Paqueta scored from the spot to give the Hammers the lead before Enes Unal scored an equaliser from a direct free kick in the Premier League clash late on Monday.

Speaking on the Premier League world feed, Townsend, a talkSPORT pundit said on 16 December at 9:39pm: “Excellent save from the goalie. Christie had to hit well but Fabianski saw it well and made a good stop.”

It was an improved performance from the Hammers, especially against a side in good form.

They did struggle to create much in the final third but defensively, they did a good job and made things really tough for the Cherries.

A late penalty was needed for them to get their best chance of the game with Tyler Adams handling the ball inside the penalty area.

While Fabianski did well to keep out most efforts, there was very little he could do to stop Unal’s free kick from finding the back of the net.

However, he cannot be blamed for that as it was a powerfully hit strike and apart from that, he did his job well.

As for Lopetegui, questions still must be asked as this was a game that his team could’ve won and they have to be much better.
