Supercomputer predicts West Ham vs Brentford result

West Ham return to Premier League action later than everyone else, when they host Brentford on Monday night.

Winless after two games, Nuno Santo will take charge of West Ham at the London Stadium for the first time since moving to the Irons last month.

His tenure started with a draw away to Everton, which was closely followed by West Ham’s 2-0 defeat to Arsenal before the international break.

With the Hammers sitting in the bottom three of the Premier League, it’s crucial that they start getting results at home, and Monday’s clash with the Bees presents them with a great chance to do that.

West Ham searching for only their second win of the season

It’s been a dreadful start to the campaign for West Ham, who really need to start finding some form sooner rather than later.

While Burnley may only be above them on goal difference, all three of the promoted sides have looked to be competitive, and if the Irons don’t improve, they could easily find themselves embroiled in a relegation battle.

However, their fortunes aren’t expected to change anytime soon, with Opta‘s supercomputer forecasting a draw when Brentford make the trip to the London Stadium.

Nuno’s side have a 36 per cent chance of taking all three points, while Keith Andrew’s Brentford have a 37.3 per cent chance of a win.

A win for West Ham could take them out of the bottom three, while anything less could see them drop to the bottom of the league, depending on the result Wolves can get when they face Sunderland.

West Ham vs Brentford head-to-head

Dating all the way back to 1898, there haven’t been too many encounters between West Ham and Brentford.

In fact, there have only been 57 of them, with the Irons winning 24.

With that said, West Ham have won just one of their last five meetings with Brentford, and that was back in 2024 when a hat-trick from Jarrod Bowen sunk the Bees in a 4-2 win at the London Stadium.

Since then, both sides have played out a 1-1 draw, with Brentford beating West Ham 1-0 in the most recent clash.
