Steve McManaman stunned by Andriy Yarmolenko goal for West Ham United v Sevilla

Steve McManaman could not believe his eyes as Andriy Yarmolenko tapped in the winner for West Ham United against Sevilla.

The Irons took the game to extra-time against the Spanish experts in the Europa League and then sent them packing from the competition and London.

Yarmolenko made it two goals in as many games despite the Ukraine crisis going on, something McManaman labelled incredible.

Speaking during live coverage of the clash on BT Sports, McManaman couldn’t believe his eyes as the ball hit the net.

“Oh my word,” he said. “What more can you say, Antonio again here is brilliant, the ball gets spread to Fornals, yes he’s onside. He’s got a five-yard tap in to be the hero, puts it away.

“What a moment, brilliant scenes here – Incredible”

Wow.

Once again, it was written in the stars.

Yarmolenko has been a hero in recent weeks, and his efforts will always be remembered by everyone at this club when he could easily have stayed away.

Instead, he has used everything to stand up, show his courage, and he has been rewarded massively with some huge goals.

Yarmolenko will go down in history for everything he has done in the past month, and we, as well as every single fan at the London Stadium, will be eternally grateful.

Who would have thought that the mighty Irons would get past Sevilla, the most decorated club in this competition? We, the fans did, and that is all you need in these huge moments.

What a night, and now this just proves that we can go all the way and lift this trophy, hopefully, with Yarmolenko playing a huge role – bring it on.
