Rio Ferdinand instantly reacts on Twitter as West Ham lost v Manchester United
Rio Ferdinand praised West Ham for their performance at Old Trafford despite David Moyes’ men losing 1-0 to Manchester United.
Marcus Rashford’s last-gasp goal earned all three points for the Red Devils, who have overtaken the Hammers in the Premier League table as a result.
West Ham played well throughout and ex-Hammer and Man United defender Ferdinand was full of praise for the Irons despite the disappointment.

“Big result that for Man United,” said Ferdinand on Twitter in an instant reaction to the result.
“West Ham will be disappointed with that after a solid performance.“
Such a shame
Man United hit us with a sucker punch.
Moyes’ run of never winning at Old Trafford as an opposing manager continued thanks to Rashford’s late, late goal for the hosts.
It’s a tough result to take and that’s now two defeats in a row, which really hurts our chances of finishing in the Premier League’s top-four.
At the end of the day, Man United have those kinds of players who step up and provide them with big, match-winning moments.
Of course, West Ham have players like that too but when you have players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Rashford in the attack, it’s always going to be difficult.
Our players can hold their heads up high about that match and hopefully we can go into the last week of the January transfer window with a new signing being close.
Moyes needs to add someone just to freshen things up to stop this mini rut becoming something that sees us hurtle down the table.
