Paul Scholes blasts West Ham United fans as Sky Sports footage emerges from loss v Arsenal

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has blasted the West Ham fans as Sky Sports have shared footage from the London Stadium against Arsenal.

With the half-time score at 4-0 in favour of the Gunners, supporters were shown leaving the ground en masse after a disastrous first half and the former Manchester United midfielder was not pleased with it as the Hammers lost 6-0 at full-time.

To make matters worse, Declan Rice even grabbed two assists and ran the show in the first half before scoring in the second half.

Scholes said on Premier League Productions’ half-time show (11 February, 15:06): “They’re a bit fickle aren’t they, the West Ham fans? They should be staying and supporting them if it’s 4-0, 6-0, or 7-0.”

Fans need to stand by West Ham

The frustration of West Ham fans leaving the London Stadium amid a 4-0 half-time scoreline to Arsenal is understandable but ultimately misplaced.

While it’s natural for supporters to feel disappointed and even disheartened by such a result, abandoning the team in the midst of a match sends a negative message and undermines the players’ morale.

Football is a game of highs and lows and enduring tough losses is part of the journey.

However, fans have the right to voice their discontent through constructive means such as vocal support or respectful criticism.

Leaving the stadium prematurely not only disrespects the efforts of the players but also diminishes the sense of unity and camaraderie among supporters.

True fans stand by their team through thick and thin, providing encouragement and motivation during challenging times.

Instead of deserting their team, supporters should channel their frustration into positive energy, rallying behind the players and offering encouragement until the final whistle.

By staying committed and showing unwavering support, fans play a crucial role in helping their team bounce back from setbacks and achieve future success.

In other West Ham news, David Moyes is now concerned over the temperament of a first-team regular and may decide to axe him after a recent transfer development.
