Nuno Espirito Santo can equal almost century-old West Ham record vs Man United
Nuno Espirito Santo can place himself into West Ham history already with a win against Manchester United on Thursday.
West Ham travel to Old Trafford to face Man United in the Premier League on 4 December.
The Hammers’ head coach will be hoping to respond to West Ham’s humiliating 2-0 defeat against Liverpool at the London Stadium.
However, victory will be hard to come by, especially as he’ll be without Lucas Paqueta, who saw red against Liverpool.

Nuno Espirito Santo can equal consecutive win record
West Ham will want to get back on track against Manchester United immediately.
The Hammers won this exact fixture 2-0 last season, ending a 16-game winless run against the Red Devils in the Premier League.
However, West Ham have not won in consecutive league visits to Old Trafford since March 1934, according to BBC Sport.
A win against Ruben Amorim’s side on Thursday would see Nuno equal this record for the first time in almost a century.

As well as boosting their position in the Premier League, a victory would mark a historic feat for the Hammers manager.
Nuno will want to remind fans once again why he was the best man to replace Graham Potter at West Ham, if he hasn’t already.

Manchester United are a beatable side
Man United are currently seventh in the Premier League after picking up 21 points this season.
- Objectively, the Red Devils have been better in almost every metric
- Man United have scored six more goals than West Ham
- Their opponents have had 21 more shots on target
However, a couple of numbers stand out. Man United have gained two fewer points than West Ham from a losing position this season, while also dropping one more point from a winning position.
Not to mention that Amorim’s side has conceded just seven fewer points than Nuno’s team.
If the conditions permit, West Ham could do some real damage to Man United, but they need to take the handbrake off for that to happen.
And given that they’re on shaky grounds in the Premier League, fans will be hoping their side delivers a convincing performance on Thursday.
