‘No contest’ – West Ham Super Fans name MOTM after draw v Palace
This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Ham Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around the London Stadium.

It took a spectacular goal by Sebastien Haller to help West Ham earn a point against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night at the London Stadium.
Christian Benteke’s first-half goal handed the away side the lead but that was cancelled out 10 minutes after the break when Haller’s stunning overhead kick beat Vicente Guaita.
It wasn’t the strongest home performance of the season by David Moyes’ side.
According to stats by LiveScore, only two of West Ham’s shots hit the target despite 23 crosses raining into Palace’s penalty area.
One of those crosses came from Vladimir Coufal when he assisted Haller’s goal and although it was the Ivory Coast striker who stole the headlines, it was the Czech right-back who earned the most plaudits among Hammers fans.
We asked our panel of West Ham Super Fans to name their man of the match from the draw with Crystal Palace and only one player’s name was on their lips.
Here is what they had to say:

Mark Smith (@ironworks68)
Annette Smith (@Annette46557317)
W. David Row (@wdavidrow)

Andrew Bushell (@Andy_Bushy67)

Coufal really was tremendous against Palace.
According to stats by Wyscout, he completed 55 per cent of his 11 crosses into the Eagles’ penalty area. This season, the Czech right-back has averaged a cross completion of 40 per cent.
He also assisted five shots, completed both of his two dribbles and six of his 10 passes into the penalty area.
Defensively, the Czech Republic international made five interceptions, six recoveries and two clearances.
Coufal’s been one of West Ham’s been players this season and that display on Wednesday night was one of his best in claret and blue.
In other West Ham news, this was our moment of the match against Palace.
