Michael Owen predicts West Ham result v Genk in Europa League
Michael Owen predicts West Ham to preserve their 100 per cent start in the Europa League by beating Genk at the London Stadium on Thursday.
David Moyes’ men have Dinamo Zagreb and Rapid Vienna in their opening two games but face arguably the toughest opponents of Group H in Genk, who finished second in the championship round of Belgium’s top-flight last season.
Ex-Liverpool striker Owen is confident the Hammers will continue their winning ways against Genk, beating them 2-0.

Writing on the BetVictor website, Owen said: “West Ham have made a brilliant start to the season, domestically and in Europe.
“Six points out of six is a superb start, and a win here would already put them on the verge of qualifying out of this group.
“I can’t see anything but a West Ham win. I’ll go for a 2-0 to the Hammers.”

Straight forward win?
West Ham have picked up where they left off last season with a strong start to this campaign.
While they did suffer that disappointing defeat to Brentford in the Premier League before the international break, the result of their results have been rather expected and rather impressive.
As it stands, the Irons are seventh in the Premier League, in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup and have two wins from two games in the Europa League group stages.
It’s all going very well for Moyes and his players and hopefully, they can continue their strong form against Genk on Thursday night.
We doubt the Belgian side will be pushovers.
They did lose 3-0 at home against Dinamo Zagreb in their last Europa League fixture but striker Paul Onuachu is someone to keep an eye on in the game.
The tall and powerful Nigeria striker scored 35 goals in all competitions last season for Genk while he also has 11 in 15 outings this season.
Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma, or whoever else plays in the defence, will need to keep close tabs on him.
In other West Ham news, Aaron Cresswell apologised to a young Everton fan after a pre-match incident in the win at Goodison Park.
