Michael Dawson interrupts Sky Sports studio after West Ham v Man City moment
Michael Dawson interrupted the entire Sky Sports studio for one of Manchester City’s goals against West Ham on Saturday.
Speaking live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (4 January, 3:43pm), Dawson disrupted presenter Simon Thomas to announce City going 2-0 up in an eventual 4-1 victory over the Hammers.
Vladimir Coufal was beaten down the left by Savinho following a switch of play from Phil Foden, and his cross left Alphonse Areola stranded as Max Kilman lost track of Haaland, who headed in at the far post.
“Daws, this better be worth it – the Daws roar – someone’s scored, but who?”, Simon Thomas asked.
Dawson replied: “It’s 2-0 to Manchester City, and it’s that man Haaland. Lovely bit of play down the right-hand side – ball goes into him, he takes a lovely touch to Phil Foden.
“He makes this lovely switch to Savinho, magnificent touch, goes round Coufal. Can you put a ball in that’s going to be good enough for Haaland?
“He takes the defender out, he takes Areola out, and all Haaland has to do is guide it into the empty net.”
West Ham suffer latest heavy defeat v Manchester City
There are few players that the Hammers have looked forward to facing less than Haaland since his arrival in the Premier League, with his first-half header to make it 2-0 the eighth goal he’s scored against them.
Haaland wasn’t done either, netting a third for City on the other side of half-time having once again run away from Kilman in the box, and he also played a key part in Foden making it four just minutes later.

The Norwegian has proven to be the Irons’ kryptonite in games between the two sides, but given how open Julen Lopetegui’s side were at the back, it’s no surprise to see Haaland adding to his tally.
Lopetegui has been firmly brought back down to earth by the last two results, being thumped 5-0 by Liverpool before this match having been unbeaten in the previous four.
As a result, pressure on Lopetegui will be ramping back up another few notches with the Hammers back in disarray, as they provided the kind of defensive display that any opposition team would dream of.
In other West Ham news, Julen Lopetegui exploded at a decision made against his side with the scores still 1-0 in Manchester.
