Jarrod Bowen in 4/10 shocker – West Ham player ratings v Wolves
West Ham United secured a massive three points as they edged a cagey game against Wolves 1-0 thanks to Tomas Soucek’s goal in the second half.
Declan Rice had the Hammers’ best chance in the first half, whipping a long-range strike against the post before Hwang Hee-Chan went up the other end and missed by inches for the visitors.
Soucek had been quiet all game but popped up when it mattered to turn Michail Antonio’s cross into the net and give David Moyes’ side a vital three points.

Here is how we rated the Hammers players against Wolves.
Lukasz Fabianski – 5
Ultimately, the Polish shot-stopper had next to nothing to do all game as Wolves lacked that cutting edge in the final third.
Ben Johnson – 7
One of his best performances in a West Ham shirt. He got stuck into his challenges and was a constant threat to Wolves down the right-hand side.
Craig Dawson – 5
Not Dawson’s finest game in the claret and blue and he was fortunate to have Zouma alongside him to save his bacon on more than one occasion.
Kurt Zouma – 8
Made a couple of really good interceptions and tackles that saved West Ham and had little else to worry about as the Irons controlled the game. Excellent all-around display.

Aaron Cresswell – 7
It was all about the full-backs at times for the Irons and Cresswell’s delightful left foot often worried the opposition defence.
Declan Rice – 7
Nearly scored a screamer in the first half only to be denied by the post. Typically commanding in midfield against Ruben Neves.
Tomas Soucek – 6
Very little was seen of the big Czech until he appeared in the six-yard box to poke home Antonio’s cross. Not his best display by any means but a crucial goal for the Irons.
Jarrod Bowen – 4
One of his poorer days since joining West Ham, Bowen squandered an excellent chance to put the game to bed and couldn’t get into the swing of things all day.

Pablo Fornals – 5
A few neat touches here and there but an otherwise uneventful day for the Spaniard who could well be replaced by Said Benrahma next time out.
Manuel Lanzini – 7
Very forward-thinking with everything he did, a lot of the Hammers’ best moments began with the Argentine who floated around in the final third.
Michail Antonio – 6
No goal but a very active day for Antonio who hassled the Wolves defence non-stop and was unfortunate not to get on the score sheet on more than one occasion.
Substitutes:
Nikola Vlasic (on for Antonio 90′) – N/A
Given how late he was introduced, it’s no surprise that he couldn’t affect the game in any way.
Issa Diop (on for Fornals 90+3′) – N/A
Copy and paste the above, on for a matter of moments.
In other West Ham news, ExWHUEmployee thinks the Irons are interested in a rather left-field signing from the EFL.
