Ian Wright gushes over Jarrod Bowen as footage emerges from West Ham United v Tottenham

Ian Wright has been thrilled with Jarrod Bowen’s goal as West Ham secured a 2-1 victory against rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Hammers visited Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 7 December and despite going a goal down, managed to claw their way back and secure all three points.

Bowen scored the equaliser and James Ward-Prowse bagged the winner for David Moyes’ side.

Wright said on Premier League Productions’ post-match show (07 December, 22:55), “He’s lucky with that as the rebound falls to him. He had to beat the keeper. It’s an absolutely difficult finish. I would’ve tried to trick the keeper. But what I love is that he had the composure. Didn’t just blast it in.”

Sensational player

Each time Bowen steps onto the field of play, he reminds the Hammers fans just what a special talent he is.

He stepped up to the plate in yet another big game and did everything right to guide his team to the three points again.

With an impressive record of nine goals and one assist in 14 league games this season, Bowen has emerged as the player who’s carried the team on his shoulder.
