Flynn Downes, Pablo Fornals and Emerson Palmieri axed – Confirmed West Ham United XI v Manchester United

David Moyes has made four changes to his West Ham starting lineup for the clash with Manchester United, the club have confirmed.

Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Nayef Aguerd have all recovered from the virus that saw them sent home before the midweek defeat to Manchester City and return to the side.

Thilo Kehrer moves across to right-back to replace the injured Vladimir Coufal in the other change, with Flynn Downes, Emerson Palmieri and Pablo Fornals dropping out of the side.

Be positive

The return of Rice, Aguerd and Soucek is a timely boost considering the midweek result and fixtures elsewhere this weekend.

While we have moved away from the pack there is no doubting that we’re not completely safe yet and if we keep losing games we will be sucked right back into the fight.

Manchester United will be wounded animals after their midweek loss to Brighton and we should be positive with our football and our mindset to take the game to them.

West Ham

West Ham have the quality to hurt them all over the pitch, but we should also be aware that a draw is a positive result so not to commit too much and get punished for it.

Moyes has a point to prove against this lot as usual and games are always tight recently, so a good performance could see us pick up three points and all but secure our safety.
