Danny Ings misses out, Michail Antonio returns – West Ham United confirmed starting XI v Manchester United
West Ham United manager David Moyes has confirmed his starting line-up for the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Manchester United on Wednesday, 1 March.
Moyes will be looking to continue his side’s momentum following their impressive 4-0 drubbing of Nottingham Forest on Saturday when they take on Erik ten Hag’s Carabao Cup winners at Old Trafford.
Confirming the line-up via the club’s official Twitter account, the Scottish manager has made three changes from the side that won at the weekend with Emerson, Michail Antonio and Pablo Fornals coming into the team.
Defender Vladimir Coufal and winger Jarrod Bowen drop out of the team, with Danny Ings missing out altogether due to being cup-tied.
Major scalp?
Both teams come into this game brimming with confidence, after the Hammers’ crucial Premier League win over Notts Forest, and Manchester United’s comfortable Carabao Cup final triumph over Newcastle United at Wembley.
However, the hosts will be favourites for this tie, especially with Moyes holding a dreadful record against his former club at Old Trafford.

Though, the Hammers cannot be written off for this tie. Ten Hag’s men will have some weary legs after Sunday’s cup antics, which the likes of Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen can take advantage of.
Moyes will be aiming for an almighty scalp here, not only claiming his first victory at Old Trafford in his managerial career but also taking his club along on a morale-boosting cup run to the quarter-finals which could certainly get the fans onside after what’s been a really disappointing Premier League campaign.
