Crysencio Summerville magical, 4/10 has a stinker – West Ham player ratings vs Tottenham

Nuno Espirito rejoiced as he watched his West Ham side snatch three points in a late 2-1 win over Tottenham.

West Ham travelled to North London to face Spurs on Saturday in an all-important Premier League clash for the managers of both sides.

Nuno Espirito Santo has been under immense pressure to deliver results, and he got exactly what he needed in the most dramatic fashion in this one.

Crysencio Summerville put the Hammers one goal to the good in the first half, but Cristian Romero’s goal in the second 45 levelled things up.

However, West Ham prevailed in the end, as Callum Wilson’s 93rd-minute strike sealed all the points for Nuno.

Crysencio Summerville was moving like Lionel Messi vs Spurs

Summerville has had his critics this season, but my word, how he has silenced the doubters after his performance against Spurs.

The winger was easily the best player on the pitch, as West Ham finally look to be seeing the version of Summerville that they bought from Leeds in 2024.

Not only was the 24-year-old’s strike classy, but he was ghosting past Tottenham players like they weren’t even there.

As highlighted by Sofascore, Summerville was unplayable, and Spurs had a nightmare in trying to deal with the attacker.

West Ham now have 16 games left in the Premier League, and Nuno will be hoping that Summerville can keep his match-winning form up.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s defensive awareness is too costly

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has had shaky moments this season, despite carrying one of the highest reputations among the West Ham squad.

The former Manchester United right-back seemed to crumble at Spurs’ attacks, particularly for Romero’s second-half equaliser.

The defender lost track of Romero, and despite his attempts, Wan-Bissaka failed to prevent Romero from heading the ball past Alphonse Areola.

Thankfully for the full-back, he was rescued by Wilson and the rest of his teammates.
