David Moyes has named a strong starting line-up as West Ham aim to secure their first victory at Anfield against Liverpool since 2015.

The Hammers are heading into this fixture on the back of a 1-1 draw against Southampton in their previous game.

Via Twitter, the club have confirmed the starting eleven. The Hammers have made three changes from the side that started against Southampton.

Lucas Paqueta has picked up an injury, while Vladimir Coufal and Emerson have been dropped. Kurt Zouma has returned to the side, while Flynn Downes and Pablo Fornals also start.

Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp are a difficult team to beat at Anfield.

The Reds have made a poor start to the season, their worst under Klopp, but they are signs of recovery.

The home side defeated Rangers 7-1 in the Champions League, followed by a 1-0 win against Manchester City. The Hammers need to be very careful.

It will be interesting to see how Moyes approaches this game. The away form needs to be improved, and these are the games that will give us an indication of how far the team has progressed.

Getting a point or a win away at Anfield would give them a massive lift.

West Ham need to be very tight at the back. If they fall into the trap of playing an open game, then Liverpool have the quality to destroy their opponents in a flash.

The Hammers must stay compact, frustrate them throughout and wait for the right opportunity to score.
