Andriy Yarmolenko given huge reception after West Ham 2-1 win v Aston Villa
Andriy Yarmolenko scored for West Ham as the Hammers picked up a crucial win 2-1 win in the Premier League against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Pablo Fornals scored the other goal for David Moyes’s side. Jacob Ramsey pulled one back for the visitors towards the end.
The Hammers still keep their top-four hopes alive, but London rivals Arsenal have three games in hand.

According to Football London journalist, Tom Clark, Yarmolenko, who was soaked in emotion, “collapsed” on the pitch on the final whistle. He was given a warm reception by the Hammers and the Villa players.
He tweeted: “Yarmolenko collapsed to the ground on the final whistle before being hugged and applauded by the West Ham and Villa players and given a huge reception as he walked off.”
Huge moment
It’s hard to fathom what Yarmolenko must have gone through all these days.
As we all know, Ukraine has been attacked by Russia, and the people of that country are suffering.
To play a game in such a scenario, where the war is still going on itself is a big deal, and to score makes it an incredible feeling.

Yarmolenko broke down after he scored the opening goal, which was superbly finished by him after Said Benrahma found him in the box.
The Ukraine striker will be asked to deliver again this week against Sevilla in the Europa League, with David Moyes likely to be without Michail Antonio for this game.
Antonio picked up a hamstring injury in the second half, and the striker is likely to miss the next game.
Aaron Cresswell also picked up a similar muscle injury during the game, and he was replaced by Ryan Fredericks.
In other West Ham news, this 29-year-old from the EFL is another central defender that Moyes is reportedly interested in signing ahead of next season.
