West Ham United are ready to offload midfielder Carlos Sanchez in the final week of the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.

It is suggested that the Hammers will sanction an exit for the Colombian should they bring in a fresh option at the London Stadium.

According to the report, West Ham have held talks with a number of different midfield targets but are yet to make progress with any deal.

David Moyes has made it clear that he wants to strengthen in midfield, and West Ham are ready to step up their efforts to do just that before Friday's deadline.

Sanchez started the FA Cup clash with West Brom on Saturday and was dragged off at half-time in the 1-0 defeat after failing to impress yet again.

It is no surprise that Moyes has made a U-turn in his thinking, and is now happy to allow one of his senior players to leave the club.

The 33-year-old has only made six appearances in the Premier League so far this season - five of those being off the bench.

Sanchez has averaged a shocking 0.2 tackles per game, as well as only 0.3 interceptions - meaning he has only completed one tackle in five outings [WhoScored], which is nowhere near good enough.

Mark Noble and Declan Rice continue to impress, and with Sanchez not meeting those standards, his chances of replacing one of those are little-to-none existant.
