West Ham are pushing to secure a deadline-day deal for Ismaila Sarr from Marseille, but not everybody at the club has agreed to the deal, which is causing issues according to Graeme Bailey.

The HITC journalist shared via his X account on 1 February that issues within the club are the reason many moves have fallen through in recent times at the London Stadium.

Issues within the club have been the story of the Hammers' last couple of transfer windows, and it seems they have put a spanner in the works yet again this month.

Internal issues continue

It was widely reported in the summer that David Moyes and Tim Steidten had fallen out over differing transfer targets, but that seemed to be put aside after the arrivals of Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus.

Now, though, it appears similar issues are still affecting their business, with a potential deal to bring Sarr to the club the latest to suffer difficulties as a result of internal conflict in East London.

While it is not Moyes and Steidten who disagree on this one, as it is unconfirmed in the report, it seems to be a trend when it comes to transfer activity at the London Stadium.

It was reported by Bailey and HITC that West Ham could be set to follow up on their long-standing interest in the winger before the transfer deadline at 11pm on 1 February, and they are reportedly still pushing for the deal, but some people at the club appear to need convincing.

Sarr can play both as a winger and as a striker, so could see the Hammers kill two birds with one stone in the positions which have become a priority for them in this transfer window, particularly with Said Benrahma expected to leave the club today.
