West Ham United's clash with Tottenham saw Paul Pogba make the trip to the London Stadium to watch Hammers defender Kurt Zouma, according to Mike Keegan.

David Moyes' side picked up a valuable point against their London rivals on Tuesday (2 April) as Zouma's first-half strike cancelled out Brennan Johnson's early effort to ensure the points were shared in East London.

The French defender's effort was his third Premier League goal of the season and according to Daily Mail journalist Keegan, Zouma had family and friends, including Pogba, in attendance to watch his heroics against Spurs.

Writing on X on Tuesday (2 April) he said: "Paul Pogba is at West Ham v Spurs tonight. Told it’s simply as a surprise for Kurt Zouma. They’ve been friends since a very young age. Zouma’s family also present. Decent night to score…"

Why was Paul Pogba at West Ham United's Premier League game against Tottenham?

It seems as though any suggestion that Pogba could be heading to East London can be immediately brushed aside. Not only is the midfielder banned from playing football currently, he was only watching the Hammers to support his friend.

While Zouma has come in for his fair share of criticism so far this season, his performance against Ange Postecoglou's side on Tuesday was exceptional as he impressed in both boxes to help the Irons to what could be a crucial point.

Whether he will still be playing in claret and blue come the end of the season remains to be seen, with some suggesting he could be set to move on this summer, but as long as he is in East London he has a crucial role to play.

Hopefully, Zouma will be able to help West Ham to another season of European football. Maybe the Irons will have to ensure Pogba attends every game between now and the end of the season to make sure Zouma's form stays as strong as it was on Tuesday night.
