West Ham have a top talent in Ezra Mayers, with a new list from CIES Observatory featuring the defender.

The Englishman has been attempting to prove he is first-team level, and last season he impressed enough to make his Premier League debut.

Nuno Espirito Santo has routinely included him in his matchday squads since arriving in E20.

The hope is that Mayers will be the latest success to emerge out of the Academy of Football.

His emergence has already provided plenty of encouragement that the West Ham are continuing to produce players capable of making an impact at senior level.

His progress is not going unnoticed by those not connected with the London Stadium side.

How much is West Ham's Ezra Mayers valued at?

A new list of the highest-valued teenagers across leagues outside of Europe's top five has emerged, with Mayers making the cut.

According to CIES Observatory, the academy graduate is estimated to be valued at £10.5million.

Additionally, Mayers is actually rated as the second-highest-valued teenager in the whole of England's second division as well - with only three making the cut.

Only Wolves' Mateus Mane has a higher value, with a mammoth £39m estimation.

However, the mere inclusion of Mayers alongside such talents across Europe is a testament to the talent he has.

It also underlines why West Ham should be keen to continue giving the defender the right platform to fulfil that potential.

A scenario that has begun to fade over the last few weeks.

What is the current situation with Mayers at West Ham?

Nuno Espirito Santo has shown a willingness to use youth players, as shown by Lewis Orford and Joshua Ajala's inclusions in squads this season.

However, in recent weeks, Mayers has been left out, with him making just one of the last five matchday squads.

The defender has also only made one appearance this season, a 90-minute display in the Carabao Cup against Southampton.

Nuno may believe that Mayers is currently not ready for more than a few sporadic involvements, but based on his value, it is clear he is primed for a big future.

Hopefully, over the coming months, the Englishman can continue to take the next step and make himself a regular in the Portuguese manager's squad once more.
