West Ham will be looking to begin pre-season as a means to go on.

Last season must be put in the rear view with eyes purely focused on what is next ahead for the Hammers

The goal will be to bounce back immediately and keep West Ham's stint outside of the top flight to just one year.

Nuno Espirito Santo will drill his style into the players almost immediately, utilising his experience at Wolves to guide them up the Championship table.

Most of the Irons' pre-season plans have already been announced ahead of their return to Rush Green.

And here is everything supporters need to know about the upcoming scheduled friendlies.

When do West Ham return to pre-season training?

West Ham's squad still have a bit to go before they are back at Rush Green ahead of the 2026-2027 Championship season.

The Hammers have already officially confirmed that Nuno Espirito Santo's side will be back in pre-season training on Monday 6 July.

Of course, for those currently at the World Cup, they will return later, around three weeks after their exit from the tournament due to a mandated 21-day holiday by FIFA.

The Championship season is set to kick off on the weekend of Friday, 14 August.

West Ham have three confirmed away pre-season friendlies

Pre-season preparations are already locked in the calendar but that is not to say there could not be more.

The Irons have already announced three upcoming friendly games, with all three away from E20.

First up for the Hammers will be a trip to face National League side Southend on Saturday 18 July, with kick-off scheduled for 3 pm BST.

Next up is a fixture just four days later against Stevenage. That will take place at the Stevenage FC Stadium with a kick-off time of 7:45 pm BST.

Finally, Nuno's side will take a trip up north to play Rangers on 26 July with a 4:00 pm kick-off.

Last summer, West Ham showed their friendly against Grasshoppers Zurich on their YouTube, so it remains to be seen whether the same decision is made this year for any games.

However, Rangers typically show their home friendlies on Rangers TV as an option for West Ham fans.

Any other pre-season games lined-up?

So far, there have been no other rumours on the Hammers' pre-season, but there could be space for a friendly at London Stadium to be added.

The East London side's game against Rangers comes 20 days before the beginning of the Championship season.

There is certainly room for an additional fixture to be added, and with all three previous games arriving away from home, it makes plenty of sense for a home game to be included.

Confirmation of whether that is the case will likely arrive in the coming weeks as pre-season nears it's start.
