West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur fans were clashing outside the London Stadium ahead of the derby on Sunday afternoon.

According to Claret and Hugh, Met police officer Andy Sheldon had confirmed that two Tottenham fans were arrested for violent disorder after the incident.

He stated that they will now be examining the footage from the concourse where the clashes took place.

Crazy

Football is known to be a tribal game and rivalries are something that have made the sport so wonderful.

However, clashes like these highlight the ugly side of football and should not be taking place regardless of the venue.

Spurs and West Ham fans do not like each other, and the least they can do is not get in each other's ways and enjoy a good game of football.

We're glad that the police have stepped in at the right time and we won't be surprised if more arrests take place in the coming days.

West Ham

Surely, the club will also contribute to the investigation and it's important that the offenders are held accountable, even if some of the Irons fans are involved.

The fact that it even got to that stage is crazy and there should have been better security plans in place beforehand to stop scenes such as this, which were predictable, from happening.

Credit to the stewards for doing their bit to de-escalate the situation as things could have got a lot worse had they not stepped in at the right time.
