Scott Minto was left fuming with the decision to not hand Wolves a penalty against West Ham on Monday night.

The Hammers secured a 2-1 win over Wolves after a drab first half but things could've turned out differently had Emerson's action led to a spot kick for the visitors.

The Italian appeared to barge into the back of Goncalo Guedes but no penalty was given at the London Stadium on 9 December.

Speaking on Premier League Productions on 9 December at 9:28pm, Minto a talkSPORT pundit, said: "Emerson has barged into him. He's not got the ball. Gary's absolutely livid with that decision. Big moment in the game. Bad decision. That's a big decision from VAR not getting involved and I get they do not want to re-referee the game. In terms of that, that's what they're there for."

West Ham fortunate to pick up the three points against Wolves

Emerson clearly pushed Guedes to the ground and there was no dive there so the Hammers got lucky with it.

Wolves scored shortly after so one would say that they got the goal they deserved, but it could be a completely different game had that been given.

O'Neil was right to be furious with that decision as the least the VAR could've done was send the referee to the monitor.

Given how much they've interfered in games, teams will feel hard done by if referees do not take a second look at such telling moments.

The Hammers did not let Wolves' equaliser derail them and they ended up scoring a second one to take the lead.

Given the pressure on Julen Lopetegui, this was undoubtedly an important three points for him.
