West Ham United will be looking to pick up their first Championship win of the season when Charlton Athletic travel to the London Stadium.

The Irons squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 away at fellow relegated side Burnley in last weekend's opener.

A point at Turf Moor would usually be considered a positive, but the manner of the collapse would have disappointed Nuno Espirito Santo.

However, the visit of Charlton on Saturday presents a chance for the Hammers to hit back against one of their London rivals.

Charlton were 2-1 winners over Derby County in their first game and will be well up for the match in East London.

But as far as the supercomputer is concerned, there is only one outcome.

What odds have West Ham been given of beating Charlton?

Nuno has some big selection calls to make against Charlton, with multiple debuts likely to be handed out.

Whatever XI is fielded by Nuno, West Ham are strong favourites to prevail on home soil.

As per Opta Analyst's supercomputer, United have a 68.8 per cent chance of winning the game.

Charlton have a 13 per cent chance of coming away with all three points, meanwhile, and the draw is an 18.3 per cent likelihood of happening when everything is rounded up or down.

What happened the last time West Ham played Charlton?

West Ham's relegation means supporters will get to see their team against sides they have not faced much in recent times.

Charlton Athletic are a case in point, with the most recent encounter between the sides coming in September 2020.

That was an EFL Cup second-round tie at the London Stadium, where Sebastian Haller scored twice and Felipe Anderson also netted in a 3-0 win.

So much has changed at both clubs since then, of course, with the pair now on equal footing.

But West Ham are still a cut above Charlton on the field and that needs to show this weekend.

Anything less than three points and already there will be some concerns surrounding Nuno.
