Slaven Bilic ready to replace Graham Potter now after shock West Ham sack latest from London Stadium
Slaven Bilic could green-light a return to West Ham very shortly.
Bilic has been linked with West Ham as David Sullivan seemingly opens the door for a new manager to come in at the London Stadium.
This has seen Graham Potter come under sack pressure at West Ham after what has been a terrible start to the campaign on all fronts.
The most recent West Ham defeat against Tottenham has seemingly represented a turning point, with Potter edging ever closer to the sack in East London.
This has seen Bilic emerge as a target for the claret and blue outfit, something which could suit the former Hammers boss perfectly.
Slaven Bilic open to West Ham return
There is no getting away from the fact that Bilic had several iconic West Ham moments throughout his initial spell in charge of the E20 club.
The 3-2 win over Manchester United on the final day of the Boleyn Ground won't be forgotten by supporters, in arguably the Croatian's best moment.
With that being said, he did depart the Irons back in 2017, and so much has happened since then, but the vibes are very similar now to when he left.
There was a sour feeling around the move to the London Stadium, something which still surrounds the claret and blue outfit right now.
Even with that being the case, Jacob Steinberg has reported to The Guardian on 18 September that the ex-West Brom boss would welcome a move back to East London.
The Croatian manager doesn't hold a grudge towards the Hammers after previously being sacked and is open to a move back to E20 after eight years away.
Slaven Bilic could now replace Graham Potter
There is no getting away from the fact that the former Brighton head coach is heading towards the end of the line at the London Stadium.
With a clash against Crystal Palace coming up, there is every chance that a negative result and performance could spell the end for Potter.
If Sullivan were to pull the sack trigger, there is no doubt that Bilic could prove to be a useful appointment, if a short-term deal until the end of the season can be agreed.
The former manager can't be seen as a long-term option, and if he is, the frustration around the hierarchy is only likely to intensify, but that is yet to be seen.
