Darren Bent has raised Richarlison as a potential loan signing for West Ham as Graham Potter's injury issues continue.

Since signing for Tottenham on a £60million deal in 2022 [BBC Sport], the Brazilian has only made 75 appearances, notching 17 goals and nine assists during that period.

Richarlison has yet to make a single Premier League start this season, suffering from injuries over the past couple of years, much like a few of the players currently unavailable at the London Stadium.

Speaking live via talkSPORT [20 January, 4:42pm], Bent said: "Do you think this is a good point - Richarlison going to West Ham on loan? He'd go at centre-forward. He plays there for Brazil."

West Ham United to consider Richarlison transfer?

Richarlison is an absolute bolt from the blue as a potential candidate to suffer the blow of multiple injuries in East London, and it remains to be seen how fans would react.

The 27-year-old attacker is one of the most controversial characters in the Premier League, very similar to Neal Maupay, but the supporters of the club he's at usually learn to love him.

Richarlison proved his talent during his four-year spell at Goodison Park, notching 53 goals and 13 assists in 152 appearances, doing more than enough to earn his move to North London.

However, the 2022 move has not worked out for the striker and a switch to East London could help him rediscover his prior form, that is if he can remain fit for Potter.

With Niclas Fullkrug sidelined, Crysencio Summerville and Michail Antonio both injured, Potter would certainly benefit from a new striker through the doors before 3 February.

Whether that figure is Richarlison remains to be seen, though.

There's potential for it to be Aston Villa's Jhon Duran, though it is understood that a new £53million bid has been rejected by Unai Emery's side [David Ornstein].

In other West Ham news, frontrunners have emerged to sign Baris Alper Yilmaz, who the Hammers scouted last month.
